ASSOCIAIZONE SPAZIO DONNA

Spazio Donna Onlus è un’Associazione attiva sul territorio di Caserta dal 1989 che concretamente lavora per l’autonomia, la libertà e la consapevolezza delle donne.

Ha come obiettivo prioritario la costante attenzione ai bisogni delle donne, non solo sostenendo orientamenti e proposte ma soprattutto avviando, gestendo, e sviluppando concrete iniziative contro la violenza alle donne e i loro figli minori. Attraverso il Telefono Rosa, attività che Spazio Donna porta avanti in partenariato con l’ASL di Caserta, le utenti hanno la possibilità di comunicare tra donne in modo semplice e rapido e mantenendo l’anonimato. L’obiettivo del Telefono Rosa è far sì che ogni donna sia in grado di conoscere e sviluppare le proprie possibilità, confrontarsi con altre per la risoluzione dei problemi. Le operatrici volontarie, adeguatamente formate, sono coadiuvate da un gruppo di consulenti (avvocati, medici, ostetriche, psicologhe, sociologhe, assistenti sociali, etc.), che collaborano all’attività condividendo gli obiettivi dell’associazione. Spazio Donna ha gestito lo storico Nido Rosa, sorto sul territorio di Casagiove nel 1988, primo in Campania ad offrire ospitalità per donne maltrattate, sole o con figli minori, italiane ed extracomunitarie, madri nubili, ragazze vittime della tratta e minori vittime di violenza sessuale. Si è differenziato dalle altre case rifugio del territorio per l’assenza di obbligatorietà di residenza che ha permesso l’accoglienza di donne straniere, donne residenti in altre province d’Italia e immigrate.

Ad oggi Spazio Donna gestisce due Centri Antiviolenza e due Case Rifugio. Il CADM (Centro di Accoglienza per Donne in difficoltà), attivo sul territorio di Caserta da maggio 2008 e sorto all’interno delle attività previste dalla Legge Regionale 328/00 per volontà delle Amministrazioni dei Comuni dell’Ambito C7: Caserta, Casagiove, Castel Morrone e San Nicola La Strada. L’ultimo nato è il CENTRO AURORA, Casa Rifugio e Centro Antiviolenza nato nel 2013 e sito nel territorio di Piedimonte Matese. 

Nel 2013 inoltre Spazio Donna, in sinergia con l’Asl Caserta, coordina il PRONTO SOCCORSO ROSA, spazio di prima accoglienza rivolto alle donne che subiscono violenza situato all’interno del Pronto Soccorso dell’Ospedale San Rocco di Sessa Aurunca. La Casa delle Donne- Centro Interculturale Educativo, promuove la buona nascita come evento fondamentale nella vita di ogni singolo individuo, accompagnando le madri, le coppie e la famiglia durante tutto il percorso della gravidanza e del primo anno di vita del bambino. Spazio Donna da sempre promuove, nelle scuole primarie e secondarie, percorsi di sensibilizzazione alla non–violenza e alla cultura di genere per prevenire i comportamenti violenti. Spazio Donna diffonde esempi e realtà di buone prassi per quanto concerne la formazione permanente degli adulti, con uno sguardo sempre più attento alle problematiche femminili.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is a generalist campus-based University, hosting 43.000 students. The UAB plays a leading role in scientific research and the wide range of disciplines represented promotes a multidisciplinary approach. The university was selected among the top five universities to be recognized as a Campus of International Excellence by the Spanish government in its first edition (2009).

UAB holds a leading position in the most prestigious and influence international university rankings. In recent years, this award has been favoured by the growing impact of the research, the constant improvement of the quality of teaching and the ability to attract international talent. This progress has been decisive in going forward to leading positions among Spanish universities in the two main university rankings: the QS World University Ranking (first-ranked university in Spain according to the QS Ranking 2013/2014. The UAB is located at position 177 in the world ranking (and 79 in Europe) and the Times Higher Education World University Ranking (22th in the world, 11th in Europe and 1st in Spain). The UAB’s commitment to international is ation is reflected in its satellite office in Shanghai as well as agreements with many international universities facilitating exchanges and joint projects for students and researchers.

Specific programs for international cooperation and study include Erasmus + and former Alfa, ERASMUS, ERASMUS IPs, Tempus, Asia Link, Erasmus-Mundus, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, and Erasmus Curriculum-Development. In addition, the UAB is a member of the following international networks: EUA, EAIE, ECIU, EMUNI and Alianza 4 Universidades. The university, according to its internationalisation strategy has created two offices specialised in international projects support: the International Educational Projects Unit and the International Research Projects Unit. These offices provide centralised support to those scholars or administrative staff applying for European and other international projects in the preparation, implementation and justification of the projects.

INSTITUT ESCOLA INDUSTRIAL DE SABADELL

The High School Escola Industrial de Sabadell is an institution for secondary and highereducation with over 100 years of history and service to the city. Currently provides teaching to over 1300 students aged from 12 years in both the compulsory and post compulsory professional teaching in its geographical area. He has been active for years in European student exchange projects and is closely linked to socio-cultural environment of the city where it is located.

The school has a faculty consists of more than 100 teachers. Among its services, has a guidance department, which currently is in a state of collapse given the increasing precarization of quality of life for many families. This has led it to take the initiative and actions to try to alleviate this problem.

Within the seactions, the “Escola Industrial de Sabadell” along with the Catalan Association for Abused Children, a public entity registered at the Justice Department of the Government of Catalunya with the code 9664/B, is actively involved in the prevention and direct intervention in cases risk or abuse with volunteers of the association from the year 2013-14. That is why in this scope where this project is framed in which you want to collaborate.

Istituto Comprensivo Ludwig Van Beethoven (pre-primary, primary and secondary level school)

The aims of  this school are to:

  • create the conditions for a friendly school-learning environment, which is able to infuse students with the pleasure of beingatschool;
  • ensure the full inclusion and prevent abandonment of education and premature school exit;
  • prevent the difficulties of switching between the various orders of school;
  • strengthen identity and the sense of belonging.

Specific Interest Areas

Besides ensuring a base foundation, especially with regard to language skills and mathematics and science, the proactive leadership ethos of the school focuses primarily on areas of specific national interest: environmental protection, local development, law and civil society, as well as the encouragement of an European outlook in education.

The promotion of excellence is assisted via computer science courses with ECDL Certification and English language certified with Trinity; the Latin course is also very popular. Particular significance has the musical activity, as this school specializing in music, and sports activities.

Social Context 

There is a local shortage of social aggregation, sites promoting cultural growth and experience in global communication.  The local historical and cultural resources should be better exploited in order to strengthen the sense of belonging and cultural esteem in which the sites are held as well as promoting civil coexistence. There are also recurring cases of socio-economic hardship and low income, crime, high unemployment and black market work, immigration, and children relied on in family homes with serious family problems.

LICEUL TEORETIC GEORGE CALINESCU

Liceul Teoretic George Calinescu is situated in Constanta, a town on the Black Sea Coast, very close to a summer resort called Mamaia. Wet each students aged 11 to 19, who study science, but also foreign languages in bilingual and intensive classes, i.e. they have between four to six foreign language classes a week. In addition, students also study the history, geography and the culture and civilization of the respective countries. Our school offers a wide range of languages and encourages students to sit different exams certified by international organizations such as the Cambridge University, the Goethe Institute, the Cervantes Institute and the French Ministry of Education. Our high school is nominated as exam center for the Cambridge exams by the British Council in Bucharest and also hosts the DELF and DELE exams. We are also recognized as centre for the ECDL exams in Information Technology.

We are also members of a network of high schools which organize, in conjunction with the French department of the embassy responsible for cultural relations and educational opportunities, a special type of baccalaureate. The students who manage to pass this exam receive a diploma with a special mention, which enables them to enroll for a French university without any other language certificate.  

However, our school is also confronted with some serious problems. For example, some of our students as old as 16, who come from remote rural areas, live in rented apartments, far from parental supervision. Some of them end up with a lot of non-attendance marks and risk being expelled from school or simply drop out. They are also an easy prey for those who recruit youngsters for pornography, prostitution, drug dealing, and are often victims of abuse. There are also students who separents work abroad, and who are looked after by relatives or neighbors and who face psychological and emotional difficulties. In addition to that, a growing number of our students have learning difficulties because they come from disorganized families or from families where they are physically or emotionally abused by violent parents.

AGRUPAMENTO DE ESCOLAS DR. COSTA MATOS

Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Costa Matos is a Middle school, with 950 students, belonging to the Portuguese National Education Schools System.

It is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, South of Oporto. It Works in a social context with a wide spectrum of students, including socially excluded youth, ethnical diversity and disability.

Our scope of work includes national curriculum, pief (special courses to students with special learning needs, violence, and/or at risk of abandoning school), professionally orientated courses and we are a reference in our incluison projects and work with multiple disability students.
